An innovative evolution of hybrid car technology, Mazda Hybrid maximizes every bit of energy normally wasted during braking. Instead of being unused, it is stored as electric energy in the battery, which the 5.1 kW (6.9 PS) integrated electric motor uses to propel the vehicle independently from the internal combustion engine. Using the stored energy eases the engine’s load, thus improving fuel economy and reducing carbon emissions.
